Obituary of Camilla Colthurst (nee Allie)

Born on June 2, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan, to the union of Frank Allie and Mildred Lindsay. Loved step-daughter of Claire Allie. Camilla had a Batchelor’s Degree in Sociology. She loved to read, roller-skate, had a deep faith and instilled love of God into her children and anyone she met. Camilla was an avid sewer and sewed clothing for her children in their early years. She loved music- both listening to it and singing loudly while dancing. Camilla had an infectious, beaming smile with a personality to match. She passed away on November 1, 2023 in Windsor, Ontario. Camilla is predeceased by her late husband, George Colthurst, her father and mother, Frank Allie and Mildred Lindsay, her step-mother, Claire Allie, as well as her brothers, Frankie, Karl and Stanley Allie. Demetrius and Dorian Clark. Camilla is survived by her beloved two daughters, Wendy Claire Cade (son in law James Cade) and Yolonda Colthurst. Cherished Grandma to India, Demetrius, DeAndre, Kendric, Brytani, Korsica, Karl, Lawrence, and Georgina . She was a beloved great-grandmother to 6 great-grandchildren; Khalel, Shandalesse, Zion, Abagail, Kyron, and Aria. Her brothers, David and Gibran Clark. Her sisters Francesca Ferguson (nee Allie), Yvette Clark, Lorena Rashid, Angela Clark, Delilah Clark. Francesca Fergusion. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Camilla’s life was a testament to the profound impact one person can have through compassion, advocacy, and selfless actions, leaving a lasting legacy of love and positive change. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date at Roseland Park Cemetery, 29001 Woodward Ave, Berkley, MI 48072.
