Obituary of Roger Gouin

January 27, 1937- July 12, 2017

Roger Gouin passed away on July 12 surrounded by his family.  He is survived by his wife Marilyn and their three children and spouses, Danny, Liseann (Michael) and Patrick (Shelly), who will miss him every day.  The much loved Grampa Rog of Sebastien, Christian, Eva, Cole and Julia, they will feel his presence in the trees, sky and snow, remembering the nature walks he led them on.  He is also survived by his siblings Anita, Henriette, Suzanne, Mignonne, Marc and Jules and many nieces and nephews.  He is predeceased by his father Don and his mother Genevieve.  Roger spent his working life at the family company, Don’s Transport.  He loved to be out on the water or up in the mountains.  He retired first to Lake St. Clair and then settled next to the nature trails of the Maidstone Conservation area, where the birds were always well fed.  A celebration of his life will be held later this year.
