Frank Longboat

Obituary of Frank Michael Peter Longboat

a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on Sunday August 18, 2024 at the age of 63 surrounded by his wife and daughters. Born to Dora Jacobs and Maurice Longboat on May 17, 1961, Frank was a proud to be Haudenosaunee from the Six Nations of the Grand River. Franks early years were shared with his beloved siblings, Bert, Leslie, Arthur, Peter, David, Ruby, Darryl, Larry, Mary, Laurie and Ruth. Together they overcame adversity and unimaginable heartbreaks. Frank has been with his wife, Dawn Longboat since April 21, 1983. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and the joyous hustle and bustle of raising their children. His daughters Lisa, Jennifer, Angela and Amy were his everything. Frank's legacy is also carried on by his adored grandchildren: Caleb, Brooke, Dani, Emme, Olivia and Liam. He had a deep love for his grandchildren and was the happiest when he was teaching them to fish, play guitar, draw or anything else that gave them quality time together. An avid outdoorsman, Frank found solace in the serenity of nature. He was always outside fishing, working on his cars and riding his Harley Davidson. At home, the sounds of guitar strings and laughter filled the air. Frank's kind, warm, gentle heart impacted all those who had the honor of knowing him. He will be remembered and forever missed by his wife, kids, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews and friends. A service to celebrate Franks life will be held on Friday August 23 from 3pm to 7pm at the Waters Edge Event Centre in Windsor.
