Sean, I am so sorry to you and your brother for your loss. I worked at your dad's farm for a few weeks many years ago but only met him a handful of times, always out at Nova. I can remember him standing at the indoor arena gate watching Julie ride Rio with a Corona in his hand. He was the only person Rosemary would let drink beer in the barn. I'm thinking of you.

Bob was an amazing man. I worked along side my vet while I lived in maidstone Ontario many years ago and his horses were his pride and joy and he lived each and everyone of them. We would often visit the barn to do routine exams , wellness checks , x-rays , mares and new foals and more.
Bob always had a long history of race stories to tell .It's sad to hear of his passing my I have lots of memories of the many conversations and visits from track to barn ..

Well, there are too many great memories I have with Bob and his family to express here. From horses to regular everyday living. My sincere condolences go out to the entire family and especially his two sons, Rob and Sean...It's hard to lose your Dad (and Mom). One thing will always stick in my mind though. When Bob and I spoke to each other personally, we used the nickname "Jocko". "Hey Jocko" this and "Hey Jocko" that. Well ,"Jocko", you left this world way to early and will be truly missed.

So many memories of McIntosh stable horses racing in the Windsor area as they learned their craft and then went on to the bigger tracks with great success. Bob was a staple in the industry following in the footsteps of his father and brother Doug. He will sure be missed by all who knew him whether it was from racing against him or working for him as so many did over the years. Rest in peace Bob. I'm sure there will be a great big party somewhere with all the other horsemen who have passed on before you ( several very recently) and many horses that you owned and trained in the past. My condolences to the family and staff from the stable.
