Obituary of Pauline Vera White

Born in Kingsville, Ontario. Passed away with family by her side at Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare in Windsor on February 3, 2024 at the age of 90. Now reunited with her late husband Derek, whom she missed so dearly the past 9.5 years. Much loved mother to Derek (Tina), Jane (Doug), Ann DeGroot (Tom) and Peter (Kelly). Cherished Grandma to Christopher DeGroot (Michelle), Whitney DeGroot (Jaco), Katie Lewis (Mitchell) and Olivia White (Connor). Her precious great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Violet and Emmy Finlay, and Benjamin and Edison DeGroot, who knew her as Gigi, brought her great joy over the last several years. Sister of the late John (late Hilda) Ringrose, the late Edward (late Jean) Ringrose, the late Amy (late Floyd) Denny, the late Douglas (late Elma) Ringrose, Grace (late John) Mornan, and the late Gilbert (late Liliane) Ringrose. Sister-in-law of the late Roy (late Maureen) White, the late Brian (late Marion) White, and the late Barry (Anne) White. She is also survived by her life long best friend, Barbara Glennon. She will also be missed by several nieces and nephews. Pauline was a primary school teacher with the Greater Essex County District School Board prior to starting her family in Kingsville. She was a long standing member of The Church of the Epiphany and a past member of the Kingsville Golf & Country Club. She was an avid quilter who crafted many beautiful creations. She especially enjoyed family dinners and having her great-granddaughters at her house for play dates that included swimming and biking in her neighbourhood. At Pauline’s request, cremation has taken place. A family graveside service will take place at a later date. If desired, donations in Pauline’s memory can be made to The Church of the Epiphany, Kingsville. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the doctors and nurses at Windsor Regional Hospital - Metropolitan Campus and Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare for their kindness, support and outstanding care during our mother’s illness.
