Obituary of Gary Edmond Poisson

Passed away peacefully on December 1, 2023 with family by his side at the age of 69. Loving father to Kelly (Michael) and Robert (Jennifer). Dear grandpa to Logan, Kendall, Lanah, and Isabelle. Loving son of late Ernest and Alice Poisson. Brother to Randy (Lynn), Lorree (late Richard), Gail (late Rick), and Cheryl. Uncle to Shawn, Kevin, Lindy, Ryan, Brien, Dana, late Tammy, late Chris and many great-nieces and great-nephews. To Gary, family and hockey was life. Many days and hours were spent at the rink. From watching, coaching and driving Robert and all four grandchild to practices and games. He enjoyed watching Leafs games with Shawn, road trips, movies, golfing, fishing, camping, boating, amusement parks, but most of all, he made the best turkey dinners for his family. The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff at Met Campus, as well as the staff and volunteers at Erie Shores Hospice for their care and compassion shown to Gary. In following Gary’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be on his 70th birthday. If you wish to make any donations, the family requests those donations be made to Hockey for Hospice, as all 4 grandchildren will be playing in this tournament.
