Obituary of John Hancock

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on November 5, 2023 at 87 years of age. Beloved husband of the late Willa (nee Seymour). Loving father of Denise Courtney, Robin Hancock (Brett Ulian), Margaret Handy, and Kathy Blazek (Jim). Cherished Papa to Shane Courtney, Danielle Ulian, Curtis Handy, Keith Handy (Tiffany Sinasac), Colin Handy (Nicole Wyatt), Jasmine Blazek, and Tyler Blazek. Great-grandpa to Ashley Houle, Kyle Courtney, Kaia Luna Hasham, Nolan Handy, McKenzie Handy, Madeline Handy, Lucas Sinasac-Green, Jackson Handy, Lydia Handy, and Irelia Handy. Fondly remembered by sons-in-law Stan Courtney and Robert Burchell. Sadly missed by his extended family and friends. John was retired from Hiram Walker after 35 years of service. He was a past president and member of the Windsor Sportsman Club. John was an avid Detroit Lions fan and sports enthusiast. Special thanks to Huron Lodge for all their care and support during his stay. Cremation services were held.
