Obituary of Ida Louise Hary

August 31, 1946 to April 6, 2023 It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our mother, Ida Hary. Ida passed away very peacefully surrounded by her loving and protective daughters. She’s reunited with our father, Marton, who left us just 9 months ago on July 10, 2022. They are now surely dancing, hugging and cooking up a feast as always…and most likely sneaking some Wheel & Jeopardy in as well. We find great comfort knowing their great love is eternal. Our mother took amazing care of our father during his illness and faced her own illness with grace and humility. She was a wonderful woman who gave so much of herself to her family and is so very missed by all of us. Loving mama to Ida Hary (Henry), Louise Hary-Arcand (Sean) and Monica Connelly (Scott). Precious grandmother of Eva, Aida, Meghan (Dan), Sarah and Ruby. Great grandmother of Adaline and Mila. Daughter of Ida Paranyi and predeceased by her loving father Frank. Dearest sister of Frank (Barbara), loving aunt to the boys. And “Dear Cousin” of Uncle Charlie. Ida was a retired nurse from Hotel Dieu after many years of service. Our mother was a creative and caring soul. She had enjoyed macramé, ceramics, gardening, cooking and most of all, shopping for a good deal! We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Windsor Regional Cancer Center and the extraordinary staff and team of volunteers at Hospice of Windsor. We are so thankful for your support and for the beautiful care you provided to our mother. As per Ida’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements are entrusted to the Cremation Society of Windsor & Essex County.
