I want to offer my condolences to the Family of Jim Oxley. Jim and I attended Erin District High School together and although I was one year ahead of Jim in school we spent lots of time together. Jim and I played hockey together on a Championship Hockey Team during those years and through that relationship shared lots of memories and enjoyable experiences. The last time I saw Jim was when we attended a Reunion of that Championship Hockey Team. RIP Jim.....Larry Gregson

Shirley,Elizabeth and Family - Jim & I were classmates who graduated from Windsor Law ‘73. We became “ Law School “
friends during our 3 years shared together - often exchanging thoughts about the Courses, Professors and the Law School. Very quickly I came to respect Jim’s shared thoughts and opinions - always seasoned with reason and Jim!s own unique and engaging sense of humour. I liked Jim. I thought a lot of him. The feelings were mutual. We graduated and then articled in Windsor. It seems like only yesterday. Our paths separated and we went our own ways some 45 years ago. The Good Words expressed here reflect the essence of the Jim I remember. To Jim’s friends - remember Jim for a life well lived. To Shirley, Elizabeth and Jim’s Family - share Jim’s love with each other. Kindest thoughts. Justice Peter J Wright- Belleville

My condolences to Jim's wife, his family and friends. I worked with Jim at court for close to 25 years. He was a good man and really cared about the people he was helping. He was a very good friend to me and my family. I am very sorry to hear of his passing. Rest in peace, Jim (aka "Ox").

I will always be grateful to have known Jim. He was a kind and ‘gentle’man who would advocate without alienating others…a wonderful example for us all. My deepest sympathy to his family.

Jim will be missed by his Legal Aid Ontario "family". He was a great senior counsel helping clients and mentoring staff. His words of wisdom at staff meetings which included tips on a golf swing to perfecting your trial preparation were fun and insightful. I am so glad he agreed to be part of the team.

My most sincere condolences to Jim's spouse, Children and extended family and friends. Jim and I shared a common saying "living the dream" "another day in paradise" he will missed and was loved and appreciated. His sense of humor humored me and made me crazy but he was awesome to have around always. Rest in peace dear friend.

I enjoyed all of the chats I had with Jim at the courthouse. He was a funny and quick-witted, but never sought attention. He was generous with his time and was so compassionate to the needs of others.

Jim was always smiling his goofy smile and would always say living the dream! Simple man who lived for sunny days to ho golfing or packed his shorts to go swimming at the Y. If he could help someone he would do it without judgement but would always say it like it is. His positive outlook of life or vision of winning a trial was inspiring. Like so many of us try to do now with thinking it, seeing it, believing it. He made it seem so easy. Love you Jim so much. Thank you for welcoming us into yours and Shirley's beautuful home over past Christmas's. Thanks for great memories of you! Proud to have known you and working beside you to see you work in action to help so many people!
