Obituary of Catherine "Cathy" Ann Copland (nee Bonnett)

It is with deep sorrow and broken hearts we announce the passing of Cathy on December 8, 2022 at 65 years of age. Adored wife of John Copland for 45 years. Loving mother of Heather Copland (Jeremy Stone) and Leanne Copland. Cherished grandmother of Zack, Max, Alexis and Jaiden. Dear sister of Todd Burgoyne and Chris Burgoyne. She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Cathy was a dedicated wife and homemaker, who spent her days taking care of her family. Cathy was an avid home cook and enjoyed making special meals that will never be forgotten. She enjoyed a close relationship with her Mother, Cora Hart Bonnett. Cathy as a teenager enjoyed roller skating and was a lover of music her entire life. She also spent many years attending every practice and parade by her husband’s side performed by the Essex and Kent Scottish Pipe Band, where John was the bass drummer. Her passion later in life, as everyone who knew her was aware, was traveling to DisneyWorld with her Mother and our family. Her infectious laugh was and will continue to be unforgettable. Cathy was a strong woman who always told it like it was. Loyal to her family, through good times and bad. Cathy was a confident woman with great style she will always be remembered for. She will be remembered for her love, dedication and strength by everyone who knew and loved her. If you so desire, donations to the Windsor/Essex Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
