Mr Procyk was one of my favorite and most memorable teachers. His classes (WD Lowe 1975-79) always had a unique and wide range of student personalities in them. He managed them and earned their respect, notwithstanding many of them had no interest in school or student life. His teaching style was sincere and very real world focused, no fluff, always practical and much deeper and far reaching than just the craft he was teaching.
He had a lifelong impact on myself and where I landed in my life. Of all my WD Lowe classroom memories, his classes are remembered as interesting, fun and most importantly impactful.

Walter taught me at Lowe and then I had the delight to work with him as a teacher at Century. He always had a smile and a story.

An awesome teacher , on his first day at WD Lowe my class brought in a case of beer and we were drinking it in the welding booths until he caught us,he had a good laugh ,will be missed, your former student Dave Bernardon

Walter was a teacher of mine. One of the best. Awesome stories of him and his buddies in a first generation Mustang. He caught me and some of the class doing something in the shop that would've warranted a huge suspension and a whoopin' at home. He let me off. Gave me shit for doing it. He knew I was not the only one, but rather, the one with the reddest eyes. I tried to search for him online as some of the teachers from W.D. Lowe moved on, to no avail. For a few years now, I wanted to thank him for not busting me. Thanks Mr. Procyk! What a great guy! R.I.P.
