Obituary of Elizabeth "Beth" Stephens
STEPHENS, Elizabeth “Beth”
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Beth Stephens on October 8, 2020 at 72 years of age. Beth is survived by her son Christopher Scott and his wife, Shannon; 6 grandchildren Calvin, Sarah, Nick, Katie, Danny, and Alyssa; great-grandson, Lukas; and her brother Jim Stephens and his wife, Debbi. Beth is the cherished friend of Catherine Brooke-Sokolik, Elaine Butler, Sherri Rain, Pat Williams, and numerous others. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered. Beth’s family and extended family find peace in knowing she is now reunited with loving family members and her many pet companions.
Beth began her career as a police officer in Flint, Michigan. After moving to Canada, she worked at a variety of places in London and Kettle Point. While she resided in Windsor she worked at Windsor Regional Assessment and Referral (detox), the House of Sophrosyne, the Welcome Centre Shelter for Women, the AIDS Committee of Windsor, and co-owned Integrity Drug Screening with Catherine. Beth had many gifts, but her ability to offer counsel to the people she worked with was by far her greatest. Her genuine, calm way of providing guidance and support changed so many lives of people living with addictions. Even though failing health took Beth away from this world, her loving heart left a beacon of light and compassion for us to follow... and remember.
Because our pets give us unconditional love and enrich our lives, donations to the Windsor-Essex Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
