Obituary of Margaret Wilson Corriveau
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Corriveau
(December 31, 1936- July 1, 2020) Passed away peacefully at Heron Terrace Long
Term Care Home in Windsor. Devoted wife of Gerry Corriveau for 62 years. Loving mother to son Gerald (Donna), daughter Heather (Phil Lewis), son Kevin (Lori) and daughter Karen (Frank Retar). She was a loving Grandmother to Samantha Corriveau (Jason McKinlay), Ben Corriveau (Casey) Hanna Lewis, Anna Retar Corriveau and Step
Grandchildren Kiefer Gunn (Stephanie), Keely Sprankle (Steven), Proud Great Grandmother to Lillian and Madeline McKinlay, Cameron Corriveau, Lucy and Margaret Sprankle. She will be fondly remembered by her numerous nieces and nephews, brother in-laws and sister in laws, in Canada, America and in Scotland. She is predeceased by her
dear sister Mae Naddell (Stanley) and survived by her brother Jack Larrabide. Margie was born in Glasgow Scotland and kept her brogue to the end. She will be remembered for her laughter and love of life. She met Gerry in Scotland when he was playing professional hockey and she was a professional figure skater. Their love lasted far longer than their ice careers. They settled in Windsor and brought up their 4 children in Riverside. Where they had many great neighbours. In their long retirement together, they spent winters in Panama City Beach Florida, where Margie loved to walk on the beach and watch the dolphins from their balcony. Her family would like to give special thanks to the dedicated staff at Heron Terrace. Due to the ongoing dangers of the COVID Pandemic, no public visitation or memorial will be held. A Catholic mass will be said in her name at a later date. If you would like to remember Margie, hang a bird feeder, plant a tree, smile at a stranger or do a good deed for someone. She would like that.
