Obituary of Pauline Boucher

Boucher, Pauline (nee Bornais)

It is with broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of a dear mother and Mémé on Sunday April 14th, 2019 at 82 years of age. Beloved wife of the late Nelson Peter Boucher. Pauline leaves behind her loving daughter Rhonda Lynn and husband Joel Gagnon, dedicated grandchildren Marguerite “Maggie” and partner Adam Watts, Jacob, Jacqueline and Danielle, and grand-pets Sasha, Bear, Smokie, Ginger, Rascal and Willow. Predeceased by her parents Rhea and Hector Bornais.

Survived by her brothers Phillip (Marilyn) Bornais, Peter (Heather) Bornais and sister Patricia Bellaire, sisters in-law Elizabeth Boucher and Edna Bushey, and many nieces and nephews.

Pauline was a caregiver and dedicated volunteer for the Chatham-Kent Children’s Aid Society for 19 years.  She was strong and proud, and always made time to visit with her loved ones and friends.  She was passionate about hockey and loved to attend her grandchildren’s hockey games.  Pauline’s favorite indulgence was Tim Horton’s coffee and chicken noodle soup.

Pauline was a resident of Harrowood Senior’s Community for the past 6 years, where she made many friends.

Thank you to the dedicated staff at Harrowood for their care and kindness.

Thank you to Dr. Waiming Leung and the ICU nurses Juliette Barrette and Pamela Prudence at Leamington District Memorial Hospital for their care and compassion.

The family kindly requests anyone wishing to make a donation gives their support to the Chatham-Kent Children’s Aid Society.

At Pauline’s request, there will be no formal service and cremation has already taken place.
