Joe, I just saw the obit and so sorry to hear about your brother’s passing. I only met him a few times at musical venues but he seemed such a gentle, talented guy. Others spoke very highly of him. My sincere condolences, Andrea

I was so very sorry to hear of Tim's passing. It's been many years since we met but I have fond memories of us playing when small children. I think he put up with me because I was the only other kid his age on the street. The last time I saw him he was playing huge kettle drums - sooo impressive.
My sincere condolences go to his family (some may remember me)

It was an honour to know Tim. He shared his friendly presence knowledge and huge heart on many occasions. The positives outweighed the negs by a large amount . There was always much more in Tim's awareness than he would let on, humble as he was..I don't have the words; someone special has left us but we still feel his influence.

I 1st meet Tim @ Kingsville Essex Assoc. Band, where Tim joined the drum. Tim quickly changed the drum section and gave it a snappier beat, for in-between musical marching tunes. Kingsville High School (1964) Tim heard about a chance for anyone to perform in the gym before Christmas break.. Tim gathered 5 interested boys together and formed a lip sing band together practised for 8wks. in front of mirrors to make sure we looked authentic as we could as actual performers. Thus Tim created THE GENTS. Tim Gibson - Drums, Wally Glass - Lead Singer, Gerry Alice - Lead Guitar, Ralph Bechard - Bass Guitar, Larry Alice - Electric Piano-Organ. We had some young ladies sitting in front row to bring in cameras, we supplied flash bulbs & film, the Ladies supplied the screaming and excitement in front rows. When it was our turn to perform Tim had us introduced as Kingsville answer to the Beatles(who played Detroit Olympia Arena 09/06/64)the curtains opened we lip sing two songs Manfred Mans - DO WA DITTY & ZOMBIES - TELL HER NO. Well this was a hit for Tim. Tim was contacted by SURF SIDE THREE OWNER GUNTHER FUNKENHAUSER. We lip sang there for a while before major performances, brought in by CKLW Radio 8.0. After one performance gentleman approached me back stage and asked if we actually played, because we had great stage presence, The man was NIEL SADAKA. Well that was a big push for Tim Gibson. Tim's great productivity in the music business charged in, forming a real live rock band, and promoting others to perform in the industry. Tim will always be regarded by myself as a great friend and organizer of groups and people in the Music Industry Always I will remember Him. His friend Ralph Bechard.
