Obituary of Margaret Thomas

Margaret “Marg” Thomas passed away on April 19^th, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family.

Marg was the devoted wife of Donald Thomas, with whom she shared 47 years of marriage since April 1979. Together, they built a life grounded in love, commitment, and family.

She was a proud and caring mother to David and Michael Thomas. Marg will be dearly missed by her sister Ann Walker (Ken), her niece Ashtyn Buchak (Byrce), and her extended family including her father-in-law Bill Thomas (Joyce), sisters-in-law Robin Thomas and Beth Cobby (Brad), and her nephew Charlie Cocchetto (Cathy). She also held a special place in her heart for her dear friend Heather Damn (Kevin).

Marg proudly gave 25 years of service to the LCBO, where she formed lasting friendships and found a true sense of community. Her coworkers became like a second family to her, and she valued those connections deeply.

Marg will be remembered for the joy she found in life’s simple pleasures. She had a fondness for flamingos and cows, a love of shopping, and a deep appreciation for Christmas—especially when it came to family traditions and treasured ornaments.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be announced.
