Obituary of Rocco D'Angelo

Rocco Joseph D'Angelo, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026, in Windsor, at the age of 72. Born on March 16, 1953, in Italy, Rocco was the beloved son of the late Antonio and Santa D'Angelo. His life was a testament to the values of kindness, generosity, and intelligence, which he upheld in every aspect of his existence.

Rocco's journey brought him from his native Italy to the heart of his community in Windsor, where he served as a dedicated pharmacist for 50 years. His commitment to his profession was paralleled only by his dedication to the people he served. Rocco was a pillar of strength and support, not just for his family but for the entire community, through his involvement with the downtown mission and the Salvation Army. His selfless nature was evident in his constant readiness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

He is survived by his loving wife, Doris, and was a guiding light to his children Andrea (Silvio), Stacey (Mike), Christina (Mike), and Vicky. Rocco was affectionately known as "Bumpa" to his grandchildren Alexander, Kyle, Tristan, Carina, Nico, Olivia, and Ava "Tiny," who brought him immense joy and pride. His role as a family man extended to his siblings, Mario (Nancy), Lena (late Perry), and Linda (Gregg), as well as his mother -in-law Maria and in-laws, Marika (late Brian), Evi (Gerd), and Heidi (Peter), and his many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Rocco's love for life was evident in his passions. He was an avid golfer who found peace and camaraderie on the greens. His love for cars, especially his Tesla’s, was more than a hobby; it reflected his appreciation for innovation and excellence. Above all, his greatest joy was found in the laughter and achievements of his grandchildren, who will carry his legacy forward.

As we remember Rocco, we are reminded of the words that best describe him: kind, intelligent, and generous. These qualities were the cornerstones of his character and the memories he leaves behind. Rocco's life was a journey of giving, loving, and inspiring. His memory will continue to be a beacon of light for all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Rocco Joseph D'Angelo’s life story is one of profound impact and enduring love. He will be deeply missed, yet his spirit will remain a comforting presence in the lives of his family and the many people he touched. His legacy of kindness, generosity, and unwavering support for his loved ones and community will never be forgotten.
