Obituary of Steve Hansaruk

Steven Ralph Hansaruk, born July 30, 1962, passed away peacefully at home on April 23, 2025. Immediate cremation has taken place, honoring Steve’s wishes.

Steve is survived by his loving wife, Rosemary Patterson, and his cherished children, Marlena, Patricia, Jessica and Tara Kovacs. He was a devoted step-in father and a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews, who will miss him dearly.

He was predeceased by his parents, Catherine Walt and Nicholas Hansaruk and Marlene Patterson (Ma) and his siblings, Danny (Jane/Tammy), Randy (Julie), Dorothy (Terry), and Laurie (Ron/Tony).

Steve will be remembered for his big heart, his easygoing nature, and the lasting impact he made on everyone lucky enough to know him.

A memorial and celebration of Steve’s life will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 644, located at 1570 Marentette Avenue, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friends and family are invited to join for “Steve’s Last Meal,” a potluck gathering with a cash bar, as we share stories, laughter, and love in his memory.
